2011 Policies Letter and Forms

General Studio Policies

• Cell phone use is not permitted in the studio. Please turn off cells.
• Families are encouraged to participate in recitals and studio activities.
• Please come to lessons with nails trimmed and hair pulled back from face. No food, drink or gum please.
• Siblings may attend private lessons if quiet, under adult supervision and respectful of the lesson.
• Please be on time for your lesson, you are welcome to come early to observe the person before you and stay late to observe the next person.
• For the sake of your child - and out of courtesy to others - please do not bring a sick child to a lesson.

Lesson Policies

• Parents will purchase a copy of Teaching from the Balance Point available at the studio, as well as the Book and CD for their child’s level.
• Parents are expected to take notes during their child’s lesson and to ask questions at the end of the lesson.

Group Lesson Policy

• Group lessons are part of the semester tuition. Students are expected to attend group lessons in addition to their private lessons.
• No refunds or credits will be made for missed group lessons.

Missed Lesson Policy

• Due to time constraints, missed lessons will not be made up.
• Out of courtesy to others, let me know if you cannot make a lesson.
• If the teacher must cancel a lesson, the lesson will either be rescheduled or a credit will be given towards tuition for the following semester.
• More than three consecutive no-shows by a student will result in suspension of lessons without refund.

Payment

• Tuition may be paid in full, or divided into two payments with the 2nd payment due half way into the semester. Suzuki Studio fees include a summer session fee that is required of all families. We will do our best to work with our families in scheduling these lessons. Payment is due on or before the date on the tuition notice. Late payments will incur a $25 late fee.

School Closings

• In the event of inclement weather, individual and group lessons will be cancelled. The decision to cancel is based on Atlanta Public School closings. If the studio is open and the student can not travel due to inclement weather, please call.
